Groundworker in Oxford

Sam Peet Groundworks is a groundworks company providing residential and commercial services for clients in Oxford, Chipping Norton, and the wider region.

Local Groundworks Company Built on Expertise and Strong Client Relationships Across Oxfordshire

Proper site preparation creates the conditions for a project to progress safely and be scheduled. Solid ground, clear planning, and a team that knows exactly what needs doing can make all the difference.

Sam Peet Groundworks is a second-generation, family-run groundworker based in the Oxfordshire village of Chadlington. We provide residential and commercial groundworks backed by more than 100 years of combined experience across our team. We have grown through recommendations, long-standing relationships, and a commitment to professionalism in all we do, including our drainage, demolition, and site preparation services.

Being local matters to us, and so does being approachable. Clients are always welcome to visit our office and yard, put faces to names, and talk through projects properly.

We offer our groundworks, foundations, and earthmoving expertise to valued clients across Oxford, Kidlington, Bloxham, Bicester, Witney, Banbury, Carterton, Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, and the surrounding Cotswolds areas.

Our Services

A skilled groundworker sits at the centre of every successful construction project. It is the stage that determines how smoothly everything else progresses afterwards. Over the years, our residential and commercial experience has allowed us to support projects of all sizes, ranging from home improvements through to larger commercial sites and even film sets.

To keep work running efficiently, we bring our own grab lorries, tipper trucks, and low loaders to the site. Managing operations directly helps us keep projects moving to agreed schedules while maintaining close control over costs and site organisation.

  • Demolition
  • Drainage Services

Accreditations That Reflect High Standards on Site

Of course, experience matters, but recognised qualifications and training do too. Our company holds accreditations and registrations, including CHAS, CITB, NRSWA, NPORS, and Streetworks, and our team members hold industry qualifications and certifications, including NVQs, CSCS cards, and SMSTS training.

Streetworks accreditation is a particularly important part of our work and something that sets us apart locally. Holding NRSWA accreditation gives clients additional confidence that work affecting roads, highways, and surrounding infrastructure is completed correctly and safely.

Construction projects often involve multiple moving parts and responsibilities, so maintaining standards is essential. Accreditations provide reassurance that safety, compliance, and professional practice remain part of our day-to-day approach as the region’s trusted groundworker.

Our Out-of-Hours Promise

We understand that construction very rarely follows a perfect timetable, and sometimes projects need additional support to prevent delays and keep work progressing to the next phase.

For this reason, we provide an out-of-hours service and remain flexible when projects require extra attention. If you need demolition or drainage services in the nick of time, we are prepared to visit you outside of our regular working hours and work late into the evening, as this is sometimes part of getting a site prepared and ready for the next stage of construction.

We know people rely on us to keep construction projects moving, and we work tirelessly to that end. Delays on foundations and site preparation quickly create pressure further down the line, so preparation, communication, and reliability remain important parts of how we work.

Supporting Local People and Local Teams

Being based in Chadlington means we are part of the community around us, not simply working in it. Supporting local organisations remains important to us and reflects the relationships we value as a family business.

Local clubs and events bring people together, create opportunities, and strengthen communities, and we are pleased to offer our ongoing support.
